The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana will be presenting its annual Excelencia Gala & Silent Auction. The Excelencia Awards are presented in recognition of achievements, leadership, inspiration, and active engagement with the Hispanic community following the grave challenges presented by the worldwide pandemic. Hispanic integration has become even more essential than before to the economic and cultural vitality of our area. This year, a portion of our revenue from the Silent Auction will be donated to Hurricane Ida Recovery and Relief through a 50/50 Raffle. For more information about the Silent Auction, visit our Givergy page. It is more important now, than ever, to show up and support our communities.
The event is our single most important fundraiser of the year. With the struggles of 2020 behind us, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana is eager to get back on our feet even stronger than our pre-pandemic selves. Funds raised help us to provide programs and services which further Hispanic empowerment and in turn economic development. Some of these programs include our Bilingual Workforce Training and Business Development Program, our annual Women’s Business Symposium, capacity building in the Hispanic business community to encourage minority and DBE certification, our annual Trade Show, and much more. Our mission is more important than ever as we work to assist disproportionally impacted Hispanic community overcome the impact of COVID-19.
